The weekend went by.

We spent Sat out and about untill I could not take the pain anymore. We came home and then cleaned up a bit. We got to have a toddler come play for the night while his mom and brother went to see Shamus Kennedy a Irish Folk entertainer. It was nice having S* come play and he is such a cutie to. He took Amber's camara and kept taking pictures with it. He is a little smartie. He kept getting the house phone and pushing the buttons and talking to Buba (thank goodness we do not have long distance). Then Oz called on the computer and everyone had fun chatting and watching S* play with Oz. Oz had a blast getting to see the baby and I have not seen him smile as much as he did since he has been over there. I gave up and went down stairs to lay down and take meds and Christa and Jordan played with S* until his mom came and got him. That was Sat.

Sun of course we had mass and ccd. While ccd was going on Amber and I went to the PX/Comm and got muffins since church did not have them this week. Jordan wanted her muffin. After we picked up the other two and came home. Christa and I cleaned the kitchen then I made bread. I made my first loaf of sourdough bread. It came out nummy. I made dinner also which was hamburgers and french fries. Christa made two pies one chocolate and a coconut cream. We watched a few disney movies that were on tv and then every one went to bed.

It's Monday and back to the daily stuff. This morning is pretty mellow. Amber has lost her voice so she is not going to school yet again. Jordan is messing with Ella and Christa is getting her hair done.

Two more days and I find out whats gonna be done to get me out of pain. It will be nice once I know then I can figure out which way things will go. I have started planning where each girl will go if need be. I just have to know for how long and all that for just in case. I am so greatful for the friends I have here in AK and for those down in the lower 48 for what they all have offered to do to help out. Thanks to everyone!

Time to get other stuff done for the morning so i am ready for work.

I was in a dead sleep when I got jumped by Ells and Punk this morning. Seems this has become a habit of theirs to dart down here to my room and say good morning. Wonderful Christmas morning wake up.

Christa went to mass this morning since she runs sound for church now that Oz is gone. We all went to midnight mass so we opted to stay in bed a bit longer.
When she came home she crashed a bit in my room.
Amber went to her boy friends house for the day. She really did not want to hang around here. Jordan has been drawing and playing games all day. She also helped Christa with dinner. We had home made tortillias, fajitias, rice and refried beans. Christa also made a cake. Today has been pretty mellow for us here.

I cleaned up the living room to the way I want it for now. Tomorrow the tree will come down and put away and then the room will be back to normal. I also do not want to worry about decorations and all that junk on my birthday.

Well its getting pretty late and I need to hunt down a kid. Have one

I ordered Christa what she wanted for Christmas yesterday. It will not get released for a few more days so she will be waiting for a bit longer for her gift. She loves the band My Chemical Romance and they are releasing the vinal version of their cd Sweet Revenge. Oz wanted to see the girls enjoy the gifts some before he left so he wanted to give the gifts out at the start of the month to watch them until he leaves.
Last night we went to Fred's and got that old fashioned looking radio looking radio-record player. It also can play cds and cassettes. Oz and Christa laid on the living room floor for an hour playing with this thing and enjoying their bond of music.
We got Amber a 8 gig Ipod which came with a $15 itune gift card free. She had a 2 gig one for a long time and took great care of that one. She wanted either the new ipod touch or a blackberry... HECK NO!!! She is a happy camper and her ipod is purple.
Jordan got Sonic Unleashed which is a game she almost threw herself on the floor of gamestop and would not budge to get it one day (not really, but it was almost that bad). She was so happy and went and took the game system out of Christa's room with out asking and you do not go into her room at all. She got to play for a good hour with out being bugged.
I also picked up Narnia last night and we all sat down and watched it during dinner. I had the table set, but we were all into the movie and did not want to stop. It was nice.

Oz's stuff is out of here. The extra cable box is turned in since the extra tv in the guest room is gone now so that should cut a cost a tad.

I am gonna advertise for my husbands unit for a second. On the 19th of December at 7pm at Herring will be the Holiday Concert that the 9th Army Band puts on. They do a wonderful job to help put you into the spirit of the season and it is a way to go out and help support the Army Band and their mission in entertaining the families of their troops. It is FREE so come out and enjoy! Oz will not get to join in as he is flying that morning :-(

The weather is a little nicer today then yesterday here. My out door temp thing says -2 so it is getting along with the computer this morning. I sure do like that one much more then the one we had yesterday -29.

Jordan's bus will be here in a few and I am covered with two fur kids and the laptop. Tiki is on the floor sleeping on Oz's coat that he left on the floor. Ella is on one side of me with her head on my right knee. Laptop in middle and Punk is curled up on the arm of the couch and on my left side under my left elbow and on my left leg. This is the way I sit every morning as I use the laptop, but sometimes Punk tries hard to sit all the way where the laptop is sitting.

Four year ago my family lost a very dear friend in Iraq. Stephen Sutherland was killed when his stryker rolled over on him. Stephen along with his wife Maria helped me chose the right path in faith and for that I am very greatful to them. Stephen made life bright and fun and had a smile on his face. Stephen was a great dad that adopted Maria's two boys Omara and Victor when they were young. The boys still look to Stephen for guidence and to know the boys is to know they loved their dad to death also.
Stephen died a week before he was to come home on R and R. This has always been hard for Maria as they were trying to have a baby. In the end Maria did have Stephen's baby and little Stephen is the cutest boy.
In five years my family has become really close to the Sutherland's. Maria adopted Oz's mom as her own when mom lived with us and still keeps in touch with her now that she lives back in Mexico (mom). Omar and Victor call my girls their cousins and have looked out for them if they are upset or hurt.
I am glad that I got to meet such a wonderful man and I am sorry that life was so short for him. Rest my dear friend Stephen and keep watch over your family and I will too.

i am having a day.

oz tells me amber asked to hang out with her boyfriend and his family tomorrow and he told her no. then christa texts me if she hang out with hers tonight and i tell her ask her dad. well she texts me back saying he said yes. also that he got rims for her snow tires which we did not discuss and he is pissed about me getting the cell phone. he is making both trucks winter safe so that christa has safe things to drive and told her if her car breaks down or does not work she can drive his. well i have a car which dies every winter and is NEW only 2 years old and the dealership does nothing about it. both truck has good tires for both winter and summer seasons and my little car has crappy tires.

work was work nuf said about that.

weekend is here and next week oz will be gone for a week. YEAH!!!! why cant the military pay for us poor spouses to leave for a week for a vacation?


have a weekend. i will be hiding during mine. dance is the last time i will go out this weekend till sunday morning for church. no ccd this week so after church come home and hybernate till monday morning.

I procrastanated in getting up this morning knowing what was to come. Oz came home and got me and asked if I was coming. I told him it was only 9am and I would when it was time. He told me it was and to come on. OK...
I get to Dr. Dignmen's office and there is no one in there (thank goodness). I get preped for the injection. He does a good job and I only had to have one stick, but inside he stuck several places which hurt. Oz was there to help me and make sure I breathed, plus he had to drive. I can say I did not pass out this time which is a good thing.
The part that I am having a hard time with is sitting around doing nothing.
I did get to make meatloaf for dinner it is in the oven now. I am hungrey and really did not eat much today.

Today I took a break from life and took a nap. I have not done this in a long time, but I am guessing I really needed it.

After church we went to Wal-Mart, Bentley Mall and Fred's. The girls were getting the last of thier school stuff that they will need for the first few weeks of school. Jordan has been counting down the days till school starts and will tell us several times a day how much longer till they get to go back. Amber and Christa are just as excited, just not in the way Jordan is.

We have a week till my dad and his new wife come for a visit for a month. I have mixed feelings about this all, but we will see what comes.

Oz has been looking up the history of our house. He has found a name of another owner who drove trucks up here. He also found out that our neighborhood has a lot of places around that they can never tear down. So we may be in a good place.

I should be cleaning since I only have a week to do so to impress my new mommy (not). Tomorrow I will be off my feet for the day so not much help from me there. Guess I will be couch controling tomorrow.

Seeing the sun peep in the window over my shoulder makes me happy. So by that goodnite peeps!

Last night I get a call from my dear friend Suzy which has been visiting her mom for the summer while Suzy's boys are with thier dad. While she is at mom's she ends up having to have a emergency hysterectomy. She waits till she gets home to tell me this information, because for the last year I have known she has needed this done and have tried to talk her into getting it done, but of course she wants a girl so she still had hope that it would happen. She was bleeding so bad that they had to go do it or she could have lost alot more then what she did.
Suzy also springs on me that her oldest son has moved out and to his dad's. Lets just say the dude in the past 9 years only comes around when it is best for him and not for the boys. We can say he buys the boys love so P* will see that dad's is not all that. Suzy's youngest D* said that P* has already stated some stuff that it might not last, but he is not giving in yet. Also D* wants mom to himself and he is moving into the larger bedroom and not giving it up with P comes back.

I am all cought up on Jordan's laundry except for the blankets. They are even put away in the right spots. Toy Quest had just the Sea Monkey starter packs with out the tanks so we got two to restart J's tanks. I did it this time and both should take (I hope).
I got a new light switch plate for Am's room to take down the hunting one that is in there. Slowly the to do list is getting done.

Tomorrow is Golden Days and Oz is marching in the parade. He also has to do some job out in NP at a lake. Christa works tomorrow so I am not really sure what I am gonna do. I want to enjoy what is offered down town, but I do not want to do it by myself and right now I do not want to hang out with Oz.

Jordan and Amber's rooms are both spotless! I even got in between the walls and bed, behind dressers and shelves and moved stuff from the floor in closets and vaccummed.
Amber has a dresser under her bed so no cleaning under there. Both beds are made up the right way and I took all the extra (turned out to be 6) blankets off of Jordan's bed. I also removed all the stuffies from the bed to. They all need to be washed along with the hiden clothes in which I found the missing KISS t~shirt.

Tomorrow my plan is getting the guest room done and moms stuff she left here boxed up and stored in the garage. Prep the room and start priming the room and then go pick out a nice color for the room. I am also going to tare down that wall paper that we all love (NOT) thats in my room.

My house has been clean since the two has been gone. I now know which two do mess it up and not clean up after them selves. Gonna be a wild Sunday making them get stuff put away where it goes and doing what chores they will be doing.

Another late night has come and it is almost midnight. So I am going to try and go rest a bit, but I am wired and want to clean more. Have a night.

It's Tuesday. I am holding up, but sleep is not going so well.

Today so far I have cleaned Amber's room. Her's is not the bad one, but a lot of little stuff was not put where it needed to be and gum wrappers every where. She is a movie watcher and she is a dvd horder. I found at least 50 dvds in her room from the family collection.
Jordan's room is next. Hers will take a little longer and I also have to do the carpet because Tiki threw up in her room. I cleaned it with the spot bot, but I want to do a deep clean. I also want to get the closet organized and the clothes put away right which I have not done since we moved in.

Yesterday Christa got a hair make over. In a way she looks like Amber if her hair is straight. She has layers in it that lightened up the load of her long hair and got side bangs. Her hair color is also back to brown, but because it was Little Mermaid red there is hughs of reds and purples through out it to which makes it look really cool. She is going for an all over new look to start her last year of high school off with a good start. Plus, she needed a new look, shes had the same one for 9 years. I have her friend Domenic to thank for this much needed make over because he would not take no from her and he made her do this.
So to him I am greatful! Now they are looking for thier next victom.

The girls must have picked out the puppy with OCD or something. Ella is a firball. If she wants something she will do everything in her puppy power till she gets it or makes you get it for her. She has gotten on the coffee table from jumping from the couch to the table and gotten the mail off and eaten it. Gotten into the bathroom and eaten toilet paper and has even unrolled it from the roll and drug it into the living room. She picks big time on both Punk and Tiki and goes for Punk's nubie (his tail) and bites it and will not let it go. She can not stay still or look at something for more then a few secs at a time. She does not like to be cuddled with or petted when she is laying down near you or trying to go to sleep. She is a wierd dog, but we will keep her.

Oz is out doing the yard. Christa is up making brownies. I need to load the dishwasher and start J's room. Have fun! Catch ya laters!

living with a teen that will be a sr. this year is driving me nuts. we need to get sr. pictures done and any suggestions I make she shots down. she only wants a certain place to have her pictures done at and will not listen to reason for any thing. guess she will be getting her way and not what i want! just tired of fighting with her.

it is the 4th of july! happy 4th all!
oz has to work at pioneer park today. afterwards he is gonna grill a brisket and ribs for us. i made a spinich dip and right now patatoes are on for a patato salad. this will be the first 4th that we have a bbq dinner on the 4th and not the day after.
later on we are going to walk over to the park and see whats going on. we may take the puppies for the walk. ella may not make the walk, but the other two will. beats trying to find parking and we do live right across the street. we asked nina and the boys to join us. we will see.

we must be bored in this house because we are watching seasame street. yup you read it right! and then on top of it the girls are having a talk about having kids and marriage and when to do it. now christa tells me she will not have kids cause she does not know what ripping means and it scares her. now i know i am safe! amber says she is not gonna get married till she is legal to drink and that is when she will have sex too. so two not to worry about in that area. jordan is young and boys are still yucky at some point.

well i need to go clean up now that oz is out of my kitchen. take care and be safe this 4th of july. enjoy the fireworks where you can see them. us here in alaska do not get them until jan because of the sun. have a day all.

I got some stuff done around here. I got my desk where I can see the top of it, but it still has a lot on it. I put all my yarn into one box so that I know what colors there is. I have a table in the office that needs to get cleaned off and organized. I'm just not really in the mood to sit in that windowless room and clean it when the sun is shiny out.

Oz got most of his laundry done and he even hung stuff up and put the drawer stuff away. He is cleaning stuff up and I wish he would get the garage done so that my car can park back in there. Oh well one room at a time.

I had a Drs. appointment for my feet today. Of course there is not anything they can do right now. I am going back to orthopedics to talk about surgery to releave the pain. They (drs) say that it might not work in the end, but also it may. At the same time they give that wonderful speech "Loose weight and the pain will go", but then they do not want to prescribe that wonderful drug to help. Gosh I try hard and it wont work on getting it. If my feet were good then I would be able to work harder to loose the weight. Oh well, I will try again.

Punk is now trying to play with Ella tonight. She keeps taking his dino and he is still a little chicken to take it, but he will chase her till she drops it. Tiki took a jog today to next door. She thought she could go for a run, but her little body just tuckered out fast. Guess who else is gonna diet in my house?

We took out the brisket for this weekend. Not sure when it will be grilled up, but it will. Oz has to work 2 days of the weekend. He will get Monday and Tuesday off instead of Friday and Monday. He goes TDY again next week which means he will not be here when the girls leave for camp. Next weekend I will be home alone which is something really new for me. Christa works and Oz is gone. Fun!

I must be a softie when it comes to my kids begging for something new with four feet.

We visited the Animal Shelter today and looked at every pet they had there with four feet plus two birds. Cats of course is out of the question as I have one child that is allergric to them. The girls kept going back to two different dogs one that was a Lab which is AKC reg., but does not like other dogs so this one did not get chosen. The one we did get is a 8 week old puppie. She is a Chesapeak/Boarder Collie mix. She was in there with her 3 sisters and we got the only Chestnut color puppy. The rest were black/brown color. They all have a white patch on the chest. Ella has white paws and a white little tip on her tail. She is a mellow puppy so far and the other puppies are ok with her. I know she will be a little big, but that is what the girls wanted. The training has started which is a good thing. Sophie is whinning because she wants to play with the puppy.

I am slowly cleaning out the room mom used. It is almost all the way cleaned up and ready to get painted. That room has dark paniling which makes it look small. I want to make it a nice color, but right now I will put up the primer then get the right color.

Oz's birthday is on Saturday. He has to go to Delta for the day so I am not to sure what we will do for him. I do want to go get him a few t-shirts from the Harley shop. Wish I could afford the bike he wants which would really make his day. Maybe next year for his 39th he will get one as a surprise when he comes home.

I am rather glad that Oz got beastie back up and running. Now I have my car back.

This morning we were cuddling and having nice pillow talk and the darn work called to tell Oz he was suppose to be at work at 7:45 not 9:30 like he thought. Now thats messed up being that they leave again for Anchorage tomorrow. What fun.

We went and got Butters and Sophie bones to keep them quite for Lizz while the movers are at her house. They were pretty much done so to say and had to take lunch while I was there. Katie, Cassie and Jordan walked to the fish place to get crickets for Katie's geco. Well long story they came home and then left again. Jordan ended up getting told she done wrong and did not get to have Cassie come home with us. She knows if she wants to go anywheres else she has to let me know. She chose wrong.

After leaving Lizz's we ended up going to post and getting my car since Oz got the truck moving. I toke Christa and Jordan to lunch and then to the hair place to get some stuff to do the girls hair plus mine. Jordan wants green highlites so I have the stuff to do that for her. I also got more purple to do Amber's. Christa is going more red. Right now her hair is orange.

It has been raining off and on today so that will help the garden and me not having to water it today.

I just got off the phone with my dad.

found out that he is back in iraq and has been for 2 months.
this drives me nuts when he goes there and not let me know.
i know it is for his safty, but the dumb goverment needs to let him tell me.
also found out that he should be here around the 17th of aug.
before the state department will let him go to his next duty station he has to have a stress test done. he said not to worry he will get passed and go to his next duty station.

now my stress... he wants to ship his cat and dog to me since there is no good kennels in cario to keep the animals for 2 months. fun to deal with.

well my head still hurts and all my kids are home now, plus two extra.

My head hurts and my tummy is acting up. I know what this means and soon I will be down for the count. I am out of preventatives for these migrains so I will have to sleep this one off or just cry enough and Oz take me to ER. I think I will sleep!
I got kidnaped to day by Lizz and did errands with her. We really did not get much done, but getting to hang out was worth it.
Jordan stayed the night at Lizz's and I was told today that the girls stayed up all night. So since yesterday at 9am till tonight at around 6:45pm Jordan had been up. She is crashed hard too. I think next time she will sleep a bit.
Christa is at work and will be working hard for the next two weeks. She will be getting a small vacation soon. Amber is bored since she had to sit in the house all day. Oh well, I'm not to worried that she is sitting home. At least she is not out getting in trouble.
Oz is in the garage putting up the new garage door opener. I just hope all is going ok. He did not eat his dinner which is not like him.
Gosh my head hurts so i am gonna go.

Helped put up the new screen door~
Watered the garden~
Sat on the swing and watched the birds on the feeders~
Found where the pigions sit during the day in the eve of the house~
Sat more on the swing~
Came in and now on computer~
Rather boring day, but its a day all the same.

I want to get my pictures up loaded to the computer and also take some to get developed so I can scrapbook them. Got a few good ones of the garden and house yesterday.

I have tried to call my dad, but all I am getting is his voice mail. This is really annoying since he is supposed to be getting ready to leave Cairo soon for his next duty station. First him and his new wife will come here before going to someplace near Turkey. I can not remember the name, but it is a wierd name all the same and in that region of the world. Just more nearer to Russia up wards to get cold and snow. He is suppose to call me when he goes TDY so I know when he is out of his home area. I just am not allowed to know where he goes when he is tdy until he goes back to his house. I just hate not being able to talk to him when I want.

Oz is finishing up on the screen door so that we can have cross ventalation in the house. Lizz and I were teasing him that it would be a ghetto door, but it looks rather nice. He has to finish staining it and put the bottom part on so the dogs can not bolt out. He also got the motor part to fix the left side of the garage so that both side can be opened and used. That way this winter two people can us the garage and not just me. I need to get into moms room and make it a full guest room now that she is gone. I just wanted to give it a few days so no one feels like she was kicked out. I do want to paint the room to make the walls lighter to make it feel bigger. We will see.

I need to get off here and make a to do list for the week. Yup gonna work some (maybe)or just go hang out and help a friend!
